Open or Closed? Its always a race to see how quick you can open in the spring. Gearing up all the staff, ordering the stock, getting the course ready, testing all the computer equipment, carts etc. etc. This year was a very early year to start but sometimes we always forget that winters still not over. We had a great first week and we were really busy, sometimes a little snow is a blessing in disguise. All of the staff have been working long hours and there are many things that just dont seem to work the way they did last October. On our first day we had 3 leaky sinks, a backed up drain behind the bar, a leak in the draft beer gas lines, and a debit machine that just did not want to work. A little snow gives us a few days to catch up and fix everything on the list as well as give the staff a few desirved days off before the next rush begins. Take advantage of the sun when you have it is our motto at GlenEagles. If the course is golfable then there will be golfers wanting to golf it. We have been closed the past 4 days but will reopen on Sunday April 8th. The course is in great shape and the greens are rolling really well. Its been a great start and we are ready for the restart.
