GPS Technology and the GlenEagles Pace Program The GPS unit that we have is called ToTheGreen. This product offers the golfer a readout of the yardage to the center of the green.
For tracking purposes the cart unit will transmit a radio signal every 30-60 seconds with the co-ordinates of the location on the cart.
The bottom of the GPS screen will show which carts are on each each hole, how far there progress on that hole and the color of if they are on time or not. The cart will be Green if on time, Yellow if they are 5 minutes over and Red if they are 10 minutes over time to that point.
When seeing if a cart is behind please check the following in this order:
- Last time the cart reported it location (As this can change if they are behind or not)
- Overall Time THEY SHOULD BE to this point.
- Check Overall time against the score card to make sure no glitch
- Check Difference from time par, either manually from scorecard or if correct from pop-up read-out.
Radio marshal and let them know:
- What is running FAST so they don't need to worry about it.
- What Cart #'s are SLOW, How For behind the group ahead, and How Far Behind Pace.
Marshals need this information EVERY TIME you have a moment to check the computer up to a maximum of EVERY HOUR.
Please LOG slow groups on the clip board provided – Cart #'s, Current hole, How Far Behind Pace.
